On the last day of their visit to East Africa (16/03/18), representatives from EUCAP Somalia’s Brussels HQ and the Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC) that forms part of the Union External Action Service, held meetings in Nairobi accompanied by the Head of Mission’s Maria-Cristina Stepanescu.
Ms Stepanescu, CPCC Head of Operations Division, Jean Marc Pisani and the Head of Africa section, Océane Lahanque held discussions with Major General Charlie Stickland, Operational Commander of the European Union Naval Force Operation Atalanta (EU NAVFOR), the Head of the EU Delegation to Somalia, Veronique Lorenzo, as well as ambassadors from several European Countries, including Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany, France,
Romania and Spain.
While in the Kenyan capital, Mr Pisani and Ms Lahanque also paid a visit to EUCAP Somalia’s support office to engage with the Mission’s personnel.
